Woonaminta and Katalpa Stations are in the far north western corner of NSW, Australia, directly north of Broken Hill. Visiting again in January 2007, after a prolonged period of drought, the rain clouds gathered and 32 points fell in 2 hours.
Featured here is Johns outstation which had once housed a family, but now, with rising labour costs, falling wool prices and drought, the station now runs with minimal staff, and Johns was due to be bull-dosed.
